Background: Vaccination is one of the most efficient ways of prevention and immunization against infectious agents. This article aimed to review the importance of recombinant vaccines for immunizing against biological agents in army forces
Materials and methods: This study was performed by searching through the internal and external websites and textbooks of military medicines
Results: Killed or attenuated pathogens and inactivated toxins all are normally used for vaccination. But some complications have been seen due to existence of different antigens in their compound. On the other hand there are many new-found infectious agents we don’t have any efficient vaccine for them. For this reason it’s necessary to utilize the new technologies for recombinant vaccines.
Conclusion: Various applications of recombinant vaccines not only in public health but also in military medicine play an important roles and development in this field can cause a great prosperity in personnel’s health status.
