The purpose of this study was to determine the antibody titer against the hepatitis B virus among employees of a police unit. Materials and methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted on 534 employees of a police unit. HBS antibody was measured by ELISA in blood samples. Results: The results of this study showed that 35.5% of the samples did not have the required level of immunity against the hepatitis B virus. Statistically, the level of safety was significant with age, work experience, and type of employment. Conclusion: Considering that more than one thirds of the samples did not have the necessary safety to prevent hepatitis B infection; therefore, staff training about repercussions of such disease and the role of vaccination in preventing disease is necessary. %> http://ebnesina.ajaums.ac.ir/article-1-652-en.pdf %P 58-61 %& 58 %! %9 Original %L A-10-238-3 %+ Baqiyatallah University of Medical Sciences, Tehran, Iran %G eng %@ 1735-9503 %[ 2018
